What these terms cover
These terms cover services offered by Elliott Coaching Limited through this website, including:
Press Pause 90 Group;
Press Pause 90 Private;
Redefine membership when available for enrolment;
Talk It Through calls;
other coaching, mentoring or community services clearly offered by Elliott Coaching Limited.
Individual pages may contain additional information about a particular service, including its price, duration and what is included.
If information on a specific purchase page conflicts with these general terms, the information specifically agreed with you before that purchase will take priority where appropriate.
Press Pause 90
Press Pause 90 is a 90-day coaching programme for adults who want to take a defined break from alcohol.
It is coaching and practical support.
It is not medical treatment, detoxification, counselling, therapy or an addiction treatment service.
Karl Elliott is a coach and mentor and is not acting as your doctor or medical professional.
Alcohol withdrawal and safety
Stopping alcohol suddenly can be dangerous for some people.
If you drink every day, drink in the morning to feel steady, shake or sweat when you do not drink, have previously experienced withdrawal symptoms or are unsure whether stopping suddenly is safe for you, you should speak to your GP, NHS 111 or another appropriate medical service before changing how you drink.
In an emergency, call 999.
The Press Pause 90 website safety check is a screening aid only.
It is not medical clearance and cannot establish whether stopping alcohol is medically safe for you.
Press Pause 90 Group
Press Pause 90 Group currently costs £500 as one payment.
The programme currently includes:
your own 90-day start date;
a weekly 90-minute Group Coaching Call with Karl;
access to the private Press Pause 90 member community;
regular support, planning and accountability during your 90 days.
The regular Group Coaching Call is currently scheduled for Thursday, 7:30pm to 9:00pm UK time.
Reasonable changes to schedules or delivery arrangements may occasionally be necessary. Where possible, members will be given appropriate notice.
There is no recurring membership fee for Press Pause 90 Group unless a separate recurring service is clearly agreed with you.
The Group safety check
Before entering the Press Pause 90 Group checkout, you are asked to complete seven short safety questions.
The questions run in your browser.
The answers themselves are not sent to Karl or stored in the PP90 member register.
Depending on your answers, you may be directed to seek medical advice before continuing.
Completing the check does not amount to medical approval or guarantee that stopping alcohol is safe for you.
Press Pause 90 Group cancellation and refunds
If you purchase Press Pause 90 Group online, you may cancel your place within 14 days of purchase.
If you cancel within that 14-day period, Elliott Coaching Limited will provide a full refund of the amount you paid.
Your PP90 access ends when your cancellation takes effect. This includes programme and private-community access where applicable.
Your refund will be returned to the original payment method.
Refunds will be submitted without unnecessary delay. Where manual processing is necessary, it will be processed within 14 days of the cancellation being confirmed.
After the 14-day cancellation period has ended, there is no automatic contractual right to a refund simply because you decide not to continue with the programme.
This does not affect any rights you may have under UK consumer law where a service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill or where another legal remedy applies.
The PP90 onboarding system provides a cancellation route after purchase. If you have difficulty using it, email karl@thekarlelliott.com.
Starting PP90 during the cancellation period
You may choose a Day 1 that falls within your 14-day cancellation period.
Elliott Coaching Limited currently allows PP90 Group customers who cancel within the stated 14-day period to receive the full refund described above even where programme access has already begun.
This is more straightforward than applying a deduction for programme use during that period.
Press Pause 90 Private
Press Pause 90 Private currently costs £1,997 as one payment.
Private coaching is conversation-first.
There is no public automatic Private checkout route. Before Private coaching is purchased, Karl will have a conversation with you to confirm whether it appears suitable.
The service currently includes the support described on the Press Pause 90 Private page, including a private planning session, private coaching sessions during the 90 days, support between sessions and a Day 90 review.
Any specific payment, cancellation or scheduling arrangements that apply to Private coaching will be confirmed with you before payment where they differ from these general terms.
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Talk It Through
Talk It Through is currently a free 15-minute decision call.
It is intended to help you decide whether Press Pause 90 Group, Press Pause 90 Private or no programme at present is the appropriate next step.
It is not a coaching session, medical assessment or medical consultation.
Booking a Talk It Through call does not commit either party to entering a paid coaching agreement.
Redefine
Redefine is a separate membership intended for people who have already been alcohol-free for at least six months.
It is separate from Press Pause 90 and separate from the legacy Redefine 90 coaching offer.
Where Redefine membership is open for enrolment, the configured membership is currently:
28 days free;
then £49 per month;
continuing monthly unless cancelled.
The current Redefine system tells members that no payment is taken during the 28-day trial and that the membership becomes £49 per month after the trial unless cancelled before it ends. It also provides members with access to Stripe's customer portal to manage or cancel membership themselves. Pasted text(1)
Any Redefine checkout page must clearly show the current trial and subscription terms before somebody joins.
Cancelling Redefine
Where Redefine membership is active, you can manage or cancel the subscription through the secure Stripe billing portal provided to members.
If you cancel during the free trial, the subscription should be cancelled before the first £49 monthly payment becomes due.
If you cancel after paid monthly membership has begun, cancellation stops future renewals in accordance with the billing arrangements shown when you joined.
Any rights provided to you by UK consumer law continue to apply.
Payments
Payments may be processed by Stripe.
You must provide accurate payment and contact information.
Elliott Coaching Limited does not require or intend to store your complete card number or card security code.
Prices shown on the website are the prices applicable to the service at the point of purchase unless an authorised discount has been applied.
We will not charge an additional recurring fee unless a recurring payment arrangement is clearly shown and agreed before purchase.
Discounts and promotional codes
Elliott Coaching Limited may occasionally provide promotional codes or special offers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional codes:
have no cash value;
cannot be exchanged for cash;
may have an expiry date;
may be withdrawn where they have been issued in error or used outside their intended purpose.
A test or administrative discount code does not create a right for other customers to receive the same discount.
Programme access
Programme materials, member links, calendars, community access and other private resources are provided for the person who purchased or joined the relevant service.
You must not publish, resell or deliberately distribute private member links, programme materials or restricted community content without permission.
Private calendar subscription links and member-only access links should be kept private.
Private communities
Participation in a private Facebook or other member community is subject both to these terms and to the rules of the platform hosting that community.
Members are expected to treat other members with respect and not publish another person's private information outside the community without permission.
Elliott Coaching Limited may remove access where somebody seriously or repeatedly disrupts the community, threatens another member, deliberately misuses private information or uses the community for unauthorised solicitation or promotion.
Where removal relates to a paid service, this clause does not remove any statutory rights the customer may have.
Coaching sessions and participation
Coaching requires participation from the client.
Elliott Coaching Limited will provide the service with reasonable care and skill.
However, no particular personal, professional, financial, relationship, health, weight, fitness or alcohol-related result is guaranteed.
Your decisions and actions remain your responsibility.
No guarantee of a particular outcome
Testimonials and stories on the website describe individual experiences.
They are not promises that everybody will experience the same result.
People respond differently to taking a break from alcohol and to coaching.
Nothing on the website should be interpreted as a guaranteed result.
Medical and professional advice
Information provided through the website, coaching, articles, videos, communities or programme materials is not a replacement for advice from a qualified medical professional.
If Karl believes that something you raise is outside the proper scope of coaching, he may suggest that you speak to an appropriate professional.
Elliott Coaching Limited does not diagnose medical conditions or provide medical treatment.
Website information
We aim to keep the information on thekarlelliott.com accurate and up to date.
Occasionally information may contain an error or become outdated.
Where an obvious pricing or technical error occurs, Elliott Coaching Limited may correct it.
Nothing on this website is intended to remove or restrict rights that UK consumers cannot legally be asked to give up.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the written content, programme materials, frameworks, videos, graphics and other original material provided by Elliott Coaching Limited remain the intellectual property of their respective owner.
Purchasing a programme gives you permission to use the materials for your own personal use.
It does not transfer ownership or give permission to reproduce, sell, publish or distribute the material commercially.
Third-party services
Parts of the customer journey may use third-party services including Squarespace, Stripe, Calendly, Google Workspace and Facebook/Meta.
Those services have their own terms and policies.
Elliott Coaching Limited is not responsible for an outage or technical failure entirely outside its reasonable control, although we will take reasonable steps to help where it affects delivery of a service you have purchased.
Events outside our reasonable control
There may occasionally be circumstances outside our reasonable control that affect a call, session, community platform, website or other part of a service.
Where this happens, we will take reasonable steps to restore the service, rearrange the affected element or provide a reasonable alternative where appropriate.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Nothing limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
To the extent permitted by law, Elliott Coaching Limited is not responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been anticipated when the contract was entered into or losses arising from using coaching as a substitute for appropriate professional or medical advice.
These terms do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when services, prices, technology or legal requirements change.
The version that applies to a purchase will normally be the version in force when that purchase was made, together with any specific terms separately agreed with you.
The latest general version will be published on this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also have rights under the mandatory laws that apply where you live.
Nothing in these terms removes those rights.
